I just finished my transmission swap and SMF conversion.
My truck has been broken for almost 3 years and I only fired it up a couple times while it sat.
I finally fixed it and put plates on it but now it stalls every time I get off the throttle.
It runs and idles great and has good power but it'll stall pretty much every time I snap the throttle closed.
I searched but couldn't find any posts that describe this.
Any ideas?
Edit: Just found this...
TSB 94-5-11 Stalls 6.9-7.3 When coming to a stop or when clutch is disengaged.
I got the truck inspected yesterday and me and my dog took it for a shakedown.
next week we'll be headed up to Germantown to pick up a set of track groups for the excavator.
got a couple bugs to work out before then.
the fuel gauge ground is messed up, the multifunction switch needs a little deoxit, the brakes are still rusty and I have a small power steering leak. Also have a slow bead leak in the left front tire.
other then that (and a really good cleaning!) She runs good! :-)
really happy with this transmission. I got lucky! Shifts great!
