Integrated brake controller

I’m having an issue with my ford brake controller in my work truck. To put it short and sweet, it’s not doing anything. Normally when you pull the trigger even when you have no trailer hooked up it’s still will tell you trailer disconnected. Well when I pulled my trigger weather I have a trailer or not it doesn’t do anything and I cant adjust the gain or anything. The lights and everything else work, just not brakes.

The controller is broken, probably the solder joints connecting the switches to the board.

I had the same issue I chased for a long time, and ended up buying an underdash aftermarket controller and harness that plugs into the factory underdash harness.

Brakes work fine now.

There are at least three services advertising on eBay that they will rebuild your controller. The service runs between $80-$100.

i have mo experience with them. I decided that my truck is old enough that it can live with the aftermarket controller for a year or so until I dump it for a new one.
