Wiring trailer brake controller

Were can I find the harness to plug a brake control into my truck. If I even have one. 2000 f 150 lariat.
What about Curt products? They are who I was looking at to get the controller from

Under the dash on the driver's side, next to the flasher relay.

Although folks have favorites in terms of controllers, they all work. I would suggest you purchase a controller that is described as electronic or with an accelerometer rather then a "timed" controller. One with an accelerometer will provide you with much smoother action of the trailer brakes. Timed controllers are generally cheaper. More expensive controllers have built-in diagnostics that come in real handy when things don't seem to working just right. Like most things, you get what you pay for.

I guess I found it. Nothing is plugged into it. It has a hot wire going to it. Do I just plug the controller into that plug? I have a flat 4 wire trailer plug at the bumper. How would I wire the trailer brakes? I have to use a 7 way plug cuz that is what the trailer has
