Brake Problem
Hey guys recently got into some brake trouble, was towing a trailer small enclosed 6x12 when I turn around and see my driver side brake smoking like crazy at a stop light. So pulled over and the brake was sure enough locked up, terrible burning smell I dont know what happened. Anyways brake locked up and i popped off the wheel got it free made it home. I obviously replaced the caliper, I got to take the truck out today and the same burning smell is happening from the same tire with smoke I dont whats going on what else could be the problem if it isnt a sticking caliper??? Im really lost as I thought for sure that was the problem. Thanks..Just not sure what to look into next.

If it got that hot, you will need to completely flush the brake fluid from the rear lines. I'm talking a COMPLETE fluid change here. Then you will need to replace the rubber line running from the hard line to the caliper. I would take the next step, and replace all the soft lines in the rear if they are original. It is most likely collapsed/failed inside, and it is not letting the fluid retreat from the caliper when you let off the brake.
