My '88 Bronco II has a '92 Explorer 4.0l engine with manual 5 spd 4x4 transmission/transfer case. Everything runs/works great except the check engine light (because I really didn't pay any attention to it during the swap). Now, I need to have the truck smogged and guess what, need a check engine light. I've identified the 4.0 wire as pin 17 and the wire is pnk/lt grn but I can't identify the B2 wire coming out of the firewall because none of my wiring charts show a check engine light. I guess I can disassemble the dash and find it but I'm hoping someone knows what B2 wire should be connected to the 4.0 pnk/lt grn wire to fire the B2 check engine light. Anyone?
Update 3/1/2018: I now believe the pin 17 pnk/lt grn wires just run to the data link connector and that there's a different wire that runs to the CEL, maybe Tan/Red. But not sure because I can't find it on any of my electrical charts, or the vehicle. Maybe C116 plug?
Update 3/7/2018: Ok, figured it out. Check engine light works, smog testing scheduled. If anyone needs to know the wiring just message me.
