So, got me cclb 2wd but has some beffy rear springs. Trucks' sitn on 265/75/16. I'm putting the 2.5 spacer up front. Question is, whats a good tire size to fill the well, not look to big/small and wont hit the radius when turning..thinking 305/70
Should we assume that you do will not be using the truck for a truck?
If add spacers to the front and then add a load to the back your head lights are likely to end up pointing to high. Just a thought.
I'll use it as a truck. The rear springs look to be off a 350, so it sits high. The 2.5 spacer should level it out. Just wondering what size tire people are running that doesnt rub and fills the wells
You can look in my photos/albums and see my black F250 2wd CC short bed with 2" spacers in the front with the 18" wheels. The pics with the 16" dish bullet hole wheels were pre-spacer. I ran a factory 4wd tire size - 275 IIRC

Why would you come to that conclusion?

Spacers are used all the time without the problem you describe. Can it happen? Sure, but spacers (and leveling kits for the 4x4's) have been used since the beginning of time, and none of the dino's ever complained about headlights being too high. Besides, even with a 2.5" spacer up front, if everything else is stock, the 2-wheel drive truck will still have a slight front to back rake.
