I've got a 75 with I think a 8 inch lift and its got stupid stiff suspension like 3 add a leafs in front and 2 plus a bigger block in the rear I would like to keep the cartilage in my spine while driving around
is it possible to pull the add a leaves out in the front and put on longer bars at the back where the leaves attach and something similar in the rear
Anything is possible of course, depending on what you want to achieve. Do you want to keep the 8 inches of additional height? Or would you be happy with the truck sitting lower with the softer springs?
Assuming you've got pretty big tires at this point? Guessing because of the lift, but maybe that tire size can tolerate the lower truck. What size tires are on there now?
I'm not surprised that with that much lift it rides like it's on no springs. The funny thing is that, in it's own way, this can be a good thing. You don't want a super high center of gravity and too-soft springs or the handling will be horrible.
But personally, and as much as I like the look of the taller trucks, I'd rather have a lower truck with even a slightly better ride.
Good luck. Got pics of the front and rear springs you can show us?
