I have a 1972 F-100 I am rebuilding. I am trying to replace the vent window seals and cannot find the 8 rivits (4 each side) required to attach the seal to the post. Can anyone direct me to a source or advise an alternate method for attaching them? I have already purchased the seals and from what I have read in the related forums concerning purchase sources, , I will be replacing them again in a few years.
Tom's Bronco parts also sells the gaskets with rivets. My problem is, I already bought the seals and don't want to just throw them away. If DC and Tom's can get the rivets there should be a source , finding it seems to be a challenge. Thanks for the reply.
I feel your pain as mine didn't come with them either (68 F100). I was able to install them without them without any issues. Mine were a very tight fit which allowed me to install without them so yours may require them.
The heads on pop-rivets are too thick, They have to fit between the vent assembly and the glass run. On my earlier post about a source, Rivet King has them, down side, their minimum order is $50.00.
