I put a full *** Anti-Rattle kit in my 63 F100. It had its moments, but it would be real neat IF I COULD CLOSE MY VENT WINDOWS!!! . Oh great gurus of the sacred blue oval, what have I done so wrong? I figured I'd ask those possessing greater knowledge before I got out the razor blades. (Black silicone seal??!!)
Usually the spring and pivot rusts solid on the vent window. Take it out and clean and lube everything. The new vent window gaskets may need a little wd-40 the first couple of times closed but unless you installed them wrong the windows will close. Where did you buy this kit?
He bought from the three letter company we don't talk out!
Williams right, the spring under the pivot will allow the vent to rise just a bit to slip over the seal. Unless the seals are too thick and the entire glass will not fit. I too had a bad experienc e with their door seals. They were too thick and the doors would not close. If the pivot doesn't help, send them back and get your money back. The pick up a set from the link at the top right corner. I almost bet they will fit much better!
