I had this for sometime now and the skull was rusting so my boy did this . Explained it to me like this he took mom's blue and red nail polish to make the stripes and black nail polish for the other stripes then he used a black Sharpie for the stars and white spray paint for the skull when he was done he clear-coated it but six coats he is very adamant on that. I asked him why he did this he said because Dad I love you and I want you and people to be proud when they see this he said plus the shull matches the one on your back window with that weird language it's " Latin "saying ( Want peace ready War ) and the blue and red stripes are for our police and firefighters and ambulance drivers who fight everyday to keep us safe. I know he doesn't understand the full meaning of the skull but it represents our boys over and fighting in Afghanistan and those other crappy spots and for the black stripes and stars but I do appreciate his thoughts and effort . This boy is getting ice cream today
