I don't know much about the XRF ball joints but you can't go wrong with the Spicer ones, Moog isn't worth the price anymore. If it was me I would get the Spicer ball joints and u joints, or if you really want to spend some money get the Dynatrac ball joints.
Ok good.
One more thing. Should I get new caster sleeves?
I don’t think I would worry about those. Just mark the orientation on the old ones with a chisel mark on the bushing and then the knuckle. You may want to have an alignment done after the work is complete.
Got into the repair today. Almost right away I found my drivers side outer tie rod is bad. Less than a year old from 1A auto. Not the best. What are you guys using for tie rods? I need to order one asap.
I'm about 10 hours into this project. I'm stuck in the hub seals now. The tool I made out of 1 1/4 pipe didn't fit over my axles. I've been trying to pound then in with no luck.
for anyone thinking of doing this job. Buy the tool!

I use a piece of 2" pipe with a cap and coupler to do the seals and it always works fine. For tie rod ends I use the cheap ones from Advance Auto that have a lifetime warranty, you can usually get 15-25% off if you order online and pick up in store.
Finally got it all buttoned up late last night. In the end I gave up and took the drivers side knuckle and drivers side axle and had the new parts pressed in.
I was able to remake the tool for the seals and managed to get them in. I will say from my experience, if I were to do it again Id definitely buy the seal tool and have the parts pressed at a shop. I wasted a ton of time on these two steps.
For the tie rod ended up with a Moog for the drivers side. This new part doesn't have the notch for the clip that stops it from coming loose. What gives Moog?
Got it aligned today along with tire balance all around.
Im very happy with the results. My truck handles like new again. I can confidently drive over 70 on the highway again!
