Ball joints

Hi all.
i discovered I have a broken ujoint in my front axle. I'm getting the parts together for the replacement. While in there I'm going to do ball joints. I've decided to use the raybestos pro ones but I can't find a part number for these anywhere. Where are you guys getting these?

Thanks!

Nooooo......XRF for the ball joints.and splicer for the ujoints. Remember cheap is cheap and you don't want to do it twice..... sometimes to the tune of more money

I know the feeling. To make you want to throw your phone even more, you corrected it wrong... It says Splicer now.

Go with the XRF ball joints. You will also need the rear hub seal and the updated axle shaft to housing seal.

Ok XRF it is!
Those raybestos pro ball joints got some good reviews from users here in past threads I read though. Only reason I was choosing them. They cost more too!

The parts above are the correct ones for the 06?

Yes they will fit the 99-07 I believe. I have an 05 and they fit mine. I got mine from XRF Automotive and Heavy Duty Chassis Parts | Ball Joints | Tie Rods | Control Arms.

You will need these too. https://parts.autonationfordwhitebea...PWxheWVyXzk%3D

I don’t remember the #for the axle tube seal. Edit: It’s a BRS-170

Thanks FiznUKa
Got everything ordered. Between this and the new steering gear sitting in the garage I've got my work cut out for me this weekend!

You I’ll need to find a large set of straight snap ring pliers for the snap ring on the axle shaft end. The pliers will need to be atleast 9” minimum. The snap ring is very stout and a PITA.

I went with MOOG ball joints and tie rods on 2 of my vans. Top shelf product and good price.

You can get Timken axle seals from Rock Auto for $21.00 apiece plus about $8.00 for shipping.

Is this the Timken alternative to the Motorcraft BRS-170?
