Headlight adjustment?

Headlight adjustment?
'99 Explorer. There is a small hex head adjustment screw sticking up on each side which I gather is the vertical adjustment. What tool do you use and which way to turn to move the beam up? Thanks.

you can use a very very small socket.......... or I think there is a special tool , just a tee handle with a built in hex drive .. 4mm ?... probably available at Auto Stores. Park 20 ft from the garage door and at night turn the screw 1 turn and watch the light move on the garage door.. Just turn 2 turns, then test on the road. Keep track of the change so you can move it back if you go too far.
