I did some horse tradin and got this 97 F150 conversion . Has a the HD power train with the 5.4 SC . But with anything like this yer gonna have electrical gremlins. Will go with this one first. We are not sure if we have a GEM problem as we have tried a known good switch from a 2000 Lightning with a completely different outcome. The DS up position switch runs dw up. DS switch down position runs PW up . The PS switch on drivers door up position runs drivers window down and the down position on same switch runs pw down.. PS single switch works fine. Craziest thing I have ever seen and none of the wiring on the plugs have been hacked. Open to any and all ideas! Thanks
First you need to find out if the door panels were changed.
If yes, the switch assembly very likely is different
Not every model used the same switches and wiring.
For example they may look alike on the outside but very different inside.
If the wring has not been changed, the stock switches should be used per the year and equipage of the truck.
I think this is why the action is like it is.
