Why would anyone buy a truck that has water dripping off of electrical switches? Different story if you already own it, you kinda gotta get it fixed.
I had a sunroof in my 2012 F-150 FX4, I liked it and liked the extra air through the cab, or opening it on that first warm Spring day. However, that was a smaller sunroof than the current panoramic style, and it never leaked. My opinion on downfalls to a sunroof:
I liked the one in my F-150!
They CAN leak, although that is very hit or miss, and mine was fine.
I felt the cab was colder in Winter, even with the shade closed.
In Summer, if the sun was overhead, it was hot and shade needed to be closed.
My wife won't wear a hat, and it always seemed like the sun was in HER eyes. I wear a hat so I didn't care. Had to close the shade...
The one in my F-150 did allow more noise in the cab, even if closed.
Glass does not insulate as well as a steel roof + padded headliner.
I steered clear of buying a truck with a sunroof for those reasons.
Honestly gents, i called the Shop and they told me they had ran the truck under a shower rig to test the sunroofs for leaks and were not able to replicate this issues.
Their reasoning behind the leaks at this moment is ice build up during recent snow/ice/sleat events we’ve had the last several days.
I dont like the excuse and I’m 99% sure I’ll pass on the truck.
