I looked at the ad, and you’re right...... but a couple things bug me about that truck... first, I think the brake booster should be a 9” dual diaphragm booster, instead of that 11” single diaphragm unit, as I believe the 9” came on the one ton...... second, that radiator doesn’t look like the big 4 core super cooler, which I think it should probably have as well.
The man that could clarify things for us here would be NumberDummy, as he is the guru, the master, the Oracle about these sorts of things (and yeah, i’m buttering him up because I may need help later.... and besides, he has helped me and tons of other folks here previously).
On the upside here, should he buy this rig and the 400 needs help, I have a complete 400 with RV cam available to build (as I am local to Spokane). Another positive point, is that the guy in the ad had the steering box done by RedHead Steering, which is a major improvement.... that rebuild alone is worth $400. The truck doesn’t look all bad to me, but I am skeptical about it being a real F350..... it may be, but a VIN decode would clarify that quick.
Yeah I'm not terribly keen on the flatbed look. Too southern for me ha.
I'm more than likely going to go with the 2wd. I've got a mechanic buddy who lives near that's going to stop by tomorrow, if everything checks out and it's truly rust free then 2200 bucks is a steal.
Then I can keep an eye out for a 4x4 POS and just body swap.
Just have to point out, that flat bed 350 and the blue/silver 250 both in Cheney, both are the same guy. I noticed a sliver of a white 90s crew cab in both, and same siding on garage and house.
I emailed the flatbed ad about the 250, here's hoping for an answer.
