My truck has the full load but does not have the off road package
I want to upgrade to that standard, i think its just a transfer case skid guard and different decals thanks for the info
No, there's no spare under the rear tank. Ford had an optional spare tire bracket mounted inside the box. It is bolted to the inside of the box rail and box floor and the tire bolts to it. Mine (a full size 31x10.5) is mounted right behind the driver's side in front of the wheel well, but it can be mounted on either driver's or passenger's side, either fore or aft of the wheel well. If you install a box liner you have to do some custom cutting to the liner to work around the bracket. One real nice feature of having the spare mounted in the box is that it is always high and dry and easily accessible. It seems like the only time I've ever had to change a flat it was either wet, muddy, raining or snowing and blowing. Lying under the truck up to my armpits in that crap to get the rusted bolt off the stock spare hanger is the last thing I want to do.
Must be because I have the Eddie Bauer package, but I just checked and I have the skid plate under my t-case and looks like some sort of skid plates under both fuel tanks. My original spare is mounted under the bed and it's a 31 (may not be factory, but it was there when I bought the truck). The truck originally had P235-75R-15's when I bought it. Extended coils in front and add-a-leafs in the rear gave me 2", which was enough to stuff my 33x12.5's on the factory Ford 15x7 Rally style rims. Only problem is I rub a little on the control arms ar full chock of the wheel.

What all have you done to your truck?? Do you have a pic of it?? Any regrets or things that didn't work properly? I have a 1995 F-150 2wd reg cab long bed. Its 5.0 (302) AODE. Its as close to a 4x4 as you can get with out actually having it. Here is what I've done:
Kenwood/Kicker stereo system
Superlift 3 inch lift in the front
2 inch blocks in the back
Rancho shocks and steering stabalizer
BFGoodrich 31X10.50X15 All Terrains (plus spare)
Eagle Alloy 589 15x8 wheels
Factory sway bars (Mine didn't come with them)
Skidplates (front tranny and fuel tank)
Ranch Hand bumpers
Westin nerf bars
Rawson Koenig toolbox and matching bed caps
K&N air filter
Flowmaster exhaust
3.55 limitedslip rear diff (mine came with 2.73 one wheel wonder)
many other things
Soon to come.. Lightning instrument cluster, spray in bed liner, new carpet, alarm.
I would like to convert it to 4wd sometime, but I don't know if it will be too much of a pain in the #####.
Got any advice on what I can do to get a little more power out of it?? And definitely what not to do?
Fabritech has a kit to convert a TTB front end to a 73-79 solid fron Dana 44 axle. Also, look through the tech article on this site as there are a couple of detailed 2x4 to 4x4 conversions for '80 to '96 F-100/150's. Dan MacDonald did a really good one posted on April 2, 2001 that will help you out.
As for power upgrades, there are tons of bolt on stuff that you can hop up your motor with. Simple add ons like a K&N open filter, Motorsport Headers, MSD ignition and performance Catalytic converter added to your existing Flowmaster exhaust are good starting points. I have also changed out my injectors from 19# to 24#, went with a BBK dual throttle body, and Edlebrock intake. Just that alone had boosted me up a bit, but the head work on my exhaust valves is where my performance shines. I am debating on changing over to MASS Air, as that will make a big difference over the stock speed density system.
The '95 motors are already roller motors, so a small RV cam, minor head work and the fuel intake upgrades should make a really noticable difference. Also, if you already have MASS Air, change out to a larger mm sensor, but don't go too big or you will do more harm than good, same as with the throttle body and injectors.
Goor luck!
