Adding Hi Def Camera System

I am adding a TadiBrothers Hi-def 4 camera system to my F450. It includes a 7 inch ccd display. My question is (without having seen the kit) what wiring did you guys use? Where did you mount the display? Where did you get the power tap offs? How did you mount the mirror cameras? Any tips?

Been wondering kind of the same thing and was thinking, my XLT (because I don't know what other models have) has a center dash piece that I thought about removing and installing USB and a power outlet in. The monitor could be placed in that tray using a suction mount along with a sticky based round disc for the suction cup to grip to. This is the dash piece near the center dash speaker.

One of the wires in the passenger footwell SEIC bundle is hot when running. CBP22, green/orange. Already fused at 5A. It powers both my dash cam and aftermarket front cam.
My front cam monitor sits on the floor in front of the middle seat. Works fine for the few times I need to look at it.

Thanks for the wiring tip,

Not trying to derail your thread here at all, but I had not heard of this company/product - so even though I have all the factory Ford cameras around my truck I was intrigued thinking someone was actually doing a higher end "Hi-Def" camera system.

In checking the specs unless I missed something somewhere, the cameras and monitor on this are still 1024x768, fine for seeing what is around - but still not great resolution by today's standards, and not "hi-def" by any spec... just thinking/hoping someone will finally start putting some quality cameras into some of these systems at some point.

You may very well be correct. 1024x768 should help get me down the road, work at night, back into a spot and work while traveling forward at more than 10 mph. I’ll report back to this thread after install.

I totally agree with you, and I bought a wireless system for the back of my 5th wheel with the same resolution and exact same thought - I can at least see that a car/truck/tree/person is behind me while moving forward and/or backing into a spot... but if there had been a reasonably priced higher resolution system on the market I would have bought it.

Camera system

It should be noted that my XL F450 was delivered with the factory camera system installed. The only problems are that it doesn’t work while driving forward and when installing my slide in, I have to remove the rear tailgate which has the backup camera in it. The price from Ford was $700+ for adding a wireless camera. I got 4 wireless cameras and a monitor which works whil in reverse or forward for the same money.
