Passive Anti Theft System and Vehicle Speed Sensor Questions

Swapping a 98 Explorer 302 EFI into a 54 F-100. Can the PATS and VSS be eliminated and still get the engine to run? I want to use my original ignition switch but now I am wondering how can that be done if the PATS has to be friendly with the key? Also what do I do about the VSS? I have a T-5 transmission and I want to somehow connect my original in-dash mechanical speedometer to that. These two items might be a problem. And tips or advise will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Bob

Here are some ideas.

I looked, there are some bypass modules on ebay and Amazon that the remote start people use to bypass this system so their remote start will work. Your old key could be considered a remote start, so maybe one of these modules would work for you.
