leave off block hooks?

Can i leave off the block hooks? I replaced the passenger side fuel line a few weeks ago. All was well then a day or two ago i got a leak. So i removed the block hook near that rear fuel line fitting. That allowed me to snug up that fitting a bit. I want to leave off that hook if i can but im hoping someone else has done this with success.

You can certainly leave off the lifting hooks. Just don't loose them if you're ever gonna think about removing the engine.

Yep I took mine off after I put this engine in. I think they are on my waste oil drum. Probably lost forever. Allowed better access for fixing something up front .
