I just passed smog for the last time. I want to strip it of everything that CAN go. exaust stuff is easy, but what about those vacume swtiches on the drivers side valve cover? how about the smog pump and egr stuff? I want to modify the hell out of the motor, and see the speed desity stuff as a real draw back. With all the smog stuff gone does it become easier to work on? I was thinking new iron heads and a cam, but I canonly go just above stock or what happens?

For sure you could remove the cats.

If you take the egr of you will need a spacer there. I used the egr plate and just took the emisions crap off and blocked it with a 1/4 inch plate. I had to have to spacer because the timing would hit without it.
