Well, after scooping sludge of of the engine and pan, the old bugger is up and running again. It smokes alot at times but it is running. I wanted to ask about the set up I have, it has 2 condensers on it. One condenser under the cap and another one attached to the head going to the ignition side of the coil. Is that normal? Do you guy have any recommendations on were to buy good condensers? FA66? I see post of condensers being bad right out of the box.. Any info would help.
I got my drag link and tie rod ends in but I will save those question for another post.
Ok, a condenser is really a capacitor. The second capacitor outside the distributor would be used for electronic noise suppression for an AM radio, and be of a higher mfd rating. These were pretty much rendered obsolete with the advent of resistor spark plugs and higher quality spark plug wires. You can remove it if you choose.
Bob's49, which side of the coil do you mean by "ignition side"? Hot wire or the one to distributor?

As I recall they put a capacitor / condenser on the generator output for radio suppression. If the 2nd one he has is on the Hot wire to coil, it would do somewhat the same thing.
