Distributer problems
I keep blowing rotors in my distributer good thing is their lifetime but i want my truck fixed , i tried doing research and i think its my pickup coil , if it is please tell me i really could use the expert mechanic help , and if it is is it just easier to do the pickup coil or just do a new distributer ? And my other ? Is the oil pump shaft coming off and falling down inside . Thank you ford fellows .

The metal piece on the rotor that conducts with the cap blows off , my guy at my autozone really hooked me up , he said instead of you coming in for $200 in lifetime warrenty rotors here i will give you this new lifetime distributor . But i think the problem was the pickup coil but no one says anything about rotors going bad .
