One thing that they did`t address is you might want to secure the center on the support. My 56 needed to be held up and I used some trim screws in two places. You could also Velcro it in place. Also I needed to trim around the rear window to fit the recess. Mine is a big back window and it turned out really good.
Resurrecting this old post....I'm going to be getting my upholstery done in a couple of months and am dreading pulling out the abs headliner& reinstalling it
after its done. So I was scanning thru you tube videos searching for any other install videos and came across this one.
Its pretty lengthy but he shows how frustrating & difficult these headliners can be to install. It mirrors my experience when I did mine.
Since the headliner is going to be covered maybe replace the plastic clips with something like this.
Remove the plastic clips & bolt these onto the liner where the plastic clips are.

Do you do any modifications to the clips? I shortened them about a 1/4" and used a heat gun to heat up the clips and opened up the gap between the clip & panel. That made it easier to install.
