So I bought my truck, kickdown rod was hooked up. The other day I'm riding and I noticed it didn't want to down shift anymore. So I check, and the rod isn't hooked up anymore. It survey came loose. So my question is, where does it attach on the carb? I have the original two barrel moto/auto craft carb.
Lol, that's true. 360fe. I'm assuming it goes on this stud that's on the left side of the throttle., but when I put it on there, the engine is being held open after acceleration.
Yeah, that's what I thought, but when I pin it there my throttle sticks now... guess I gotta replace that horizontal spring. I'll spray with with some wd40 and see if that helps for the moment.

No. Don't use WD40. (water displacement...40th try) Only carb spray cleaner should be sprayed on carb and choke linkage.
Note. If a carb to intake manifold spacer was installed the trans kick down rod will now be too short.
