If the carb is not already fitted with the linkage for the C-6 Trans kick down rod, you will need Edelbrock Throttle Lever Kit #1483
EDELBROCK 1483 MANUAL Pdf Download.
(it attaches to the carb and will provide a pin to mate with the rod) and then likely you will need to make an extension for the kick down rod so you can adjust it so it's nearly bottomed when the carb is WOT. Here's another thread that may help:
