That coolant has 300 ppm silicates max. That is less than a tenth of a pound of silicates. definitely supports the theory that it isn't just silicates that clog the oil cooler!

Sorry for your troubles.
So I was correct in using that coolant? When I purchased the Ex, it had beautiful, royal green coolant in it and changed it out with a coolant flush asap. The deltas when i purchased it was around 5 to 7, but knew it would come back to bite me. Oh well, I'll start a rebuild thread soon. I knew what i was getting myself into with the 6.0 and couldn't pass up the challenge.
Ugh! Well Ryan, at least you have the right attitude going into this and knew what might happen.
One good thing about that truck, it's a real looker
Look forward to the build thread
Thanks guys and I really appreciate the encouraging words. So this is my first real puking experience ever... So it's suppose to look like a baby with the runs? Also, the Ex runs fine as it always have, I still have plenty of power for a stock rig and my FICM is working as it should. I assume that once my degas box turned into mustard looking slime, I would be dead in the water. I thought about flushing the system and see where I go from there. I drove it about 30 minutes last night with the wife because she got LED bulbs for Valentine's Day for me and I couldn't drop the bad news on her after that. My deltas never got above 10, granted, it wasn't highway driving.I

Personally I would not use that coolant again. EC-1 rated ELC coolant would be better.
You may have to buy a cheap cooler to do a flush with detergent to get the oil and other crap out before you spend the money on an OEM cooler and clog it. It’s going to take some work now to get it clean.

I guess it would be smart to invest in a external oil cooler now. Great idea. I will probably replace the degas bottle with the Mishimoto aluminum degas bottle.
