I was disappointed they dropped the Bronze Fire for Magma Red. I'm guessing Magma Red won't make it a second year since the take rate seems to be pretty non-existent.
I really wanted maroon...Was holding out for a 2018 SD thinking the Magma Red would be the return of the maroon that Ford dropped a few years ago. After seeing the F150 on the lot in Magma Red, I realized it was not what I was hoping it would be so I bough a 2017. Magma Red is more black than maroon. Quite disappointed.

After I saw a couple of F150's with it I opted against it, for me too much purple.
Disappointing they dropped the Bronze Fire.
Being I have a '99 purple truck, I didn't think it had enough in fact, we couldn't really see any. I think the Magma reflects what is around it and changes in different light and surroundings.
When shopping for my truck, I was hopeful that Magma Red would be a maroon sort of color.
It appears almost black to me. Way too dark for me.
Full disclosure....I am slightly color blind.
I opted for Blue Jeans. I almost always go with blue, but was hoping for a change that I would like.
Never saw the Stone Gray. That might have been an option.
I think a good number of people were expecting Ford's Magma Red to resemble the former Dodge color Deep Molten Red... definitely more red than black or wine.
