Thinking of getting a Dash Cam, any suggestions?

I know Garmin makes good product... GPS anyway..

in my life. I have not the need for a front facing camera...
twice from the left side.
once from the rear..

Garmin makes a great gps unit very true. Mine is about 10 years old and works great.

 

I have a 2597,, and it lives on my motorcycle.(5 years) . an has gotten very wet many times... and no protection.. no windshield. in fact the power plug is rusting .

and I have a dezl 770LMTHD... for the F 250... great unit. 2 years now.

 

I have an A119 and have been very happy with it, I've had zero issues. I like how discreet it is.

Can you turn off volume on these?

 

I picked one up from Walmart, works great, sound is turned off.

 

I picked up an auto-vox m6 mainly because I don't have a backup camera. they have a firmware update you download which allows you to record front and rear at the same time. the mirror is touch screen and can play back on the screen pretty nice unit.

 

Possibly interested in the Viofo a1119 with GPS module. Not really that interested in how it mounts. From the pictures I've seen, it sticks to the windshield by a 3M adhesive pad. How hard is it to remove from windshield if you want to?

 

You are able to remove the camera from the mount and you are left with just a small square that the camera fits into. If you get the GPS module I am pretty sure that the power cord plugs into the module. Mine does not have the module. I have mine up and behind the mirror so you have to look for it to see it

On the A119 you can turn off the sound.
