Not sure what the power gains were, but I decided to go big or go home because I had read about the power gains and the stock TB needed to be replaced - the butterflies were damaged.

Good news though, finishing the install steps cleared the CEL for the IAC. - still dealing with this EVP CEL (327) and CANP CEL (565). All other codes seem to have gone away too..

Hello Gentlemen, I have a 94 f150 5.0 extended cab 2wd. My question is on the TPS when installing to TB which way should the wires point ? To the IAC or other direction ? Any help greatly appreciated.

this is info for a 96:
  1. CAUTION: Slide rotary tangs into position over throttle shaft blade, then rotate throttle position sensor CLOCKWISE ONLY to installed position. Failure to install the throttle position sensor in this manner may result in excessive idle speeds on 5.0L and 5.8L.

On a 5.0L and 5.8L engine, position the throttle position sensor so that the pigtail points toward the idle air control valve (IAC valve) (9F715).
  1. NOTE: When throttle position sensor is installed on the throttle body (9E926), the connector will point toward the throttle body inlet on 4.9L and 7.5L only.

does this seem to pertain to your year? I feel like thats an older sensor but I dont have a v8

The wires point in whatever direction. The important part is that the tabs are lined up so that when the throttle moves so does the sensor. It is possible to install the sensor incorrectly so have the sensor not turn when the throttle is opened. The computer would never “see” the throttle being opened
