ok so after many times pulling the dash for different projects and repairs, its missing some tabs on the back, and has a crack from the top down to the a/c vent.
Im going to replace it and since i am id like to go with the dash from a 06-07 model truck. I like the look and since its getting replaced why not.
Any one have any experience with this ?
I plan to keep the gauge cluster stock.
I know the headlight switch, power point and 4x4 will need to be had also.
Those were a couple I found by using the search function and about five minutes of time. If I get time I'll look more, I'm sure there is more on here to view.
I see most are excursion related.
Im really considering doing this. I can fab up the a/c ducts to work and I'm ok trimming things but my main concern is the clips on the dash lining up.
Getting the correct switches and wiring them in is not an issue as much as the thing snapping in
Well i found a dash on ebay for 120$
Has the head light switch , vents , 4x4 switch climate control switches and powerpoint.
Placed my order and we will see how it goes.
You say you've pulled the dash before, how difficult was that exactly? I've been looking at replacing mine as it has quite a few cracks in it. I just don't want to get in something over my head.
