Need help figuring out what truck a rubber bushing is from. My 96 E150 developed a creaking, popping noise that's turned out to be the 2nd from the rear body bushings worn out. To fix it without having to pull the rear bench seat and the carpet up, I jacked up the body off the frame to allow me to split an old rubber bushing and stick it between the body and frame to get rid of the noise. The bushing I dug up out of my parts mess has these engineering numbers : C6TA-8100155-A. I need another for the other side as it's worn out too and a part number may help finding another. Also know what truck it's for would help.

Yea, that checks out. I figure it was left over from the Bronco project I started a few years ago, then lost interest in it and sold it. I need to round up the other parts I bought for that and sell em. Probably won't get to it til I retire LOL. Thanks ! There was an older number on it too, a C4TA prefix, same numbers and same suffix. I had to cut it to get it in place, I put a hose clamp around it to keep it from opening up and working out. When I get the other I'll glue both in the cut and hose clamp them till the glue cures.
I don't know if this will help you out or not but I was looking for body mounts for my 85 E150 and remember bookmarking a site you might want to sift through. https://www.coachbusparts.com/parts/...per%20absorber
Apparently some buses and other vehicles use some of our body mount parts.
My lower bushing is D5UZ-1000155-AA and the company above lists it. Their part numbers have a BM in front of the main number.
They also list a 8C2Z-1000154-A for the upper. perhaps NumberDummy would be kind enough to let us know if these parts wold fit our vans??
According to my info D5UZ-!000154-A is my upper and was replaced by 8C2Z-1000154-A
So these may fit your 96 e150
If they do fit, they are cheaper here then other sites I have found.. they also fit my 88
The Ford bushings might work, if they're the right thickness. Can't use one with a steel insert, I had to cut one side too allow it to fit around the center bolt of the worn bushing.
I was just thinking.. The ones on my 85 are bulged out a little but no too bad yet.
But in an emergency perhaps if a person raised the weight off the bushing and installed a heavy duty clamp around the bushing it would hold the body up temporally?
Yea, they'd work but how much are they compressed now ? I doubt you'd gain more than an eighth inch lift from that. I'd rather softer bushings than harder ones. I only put a clamp around the one I did to keep it from spreading and working out of place due to the cut I made in it to fit it around the center bolt without having to remove the bolt
here is a video talking about the new style body mounts. They are supposed to give a softer ride but go bad in a few years.
I am not driving my 85 right now and not really sure what I m going to do with it. It's just kinda hanging around as a spare. It quit running and i found the fuel tank to be pretty rusted. I have all the new parts but bought my 88 in the mean time. Poor guy has been sitting for the past 2 years.

Whats the part number for the factory bushing upper and lower?
I'm having similar problems and the part numbers are confusing as hell.

I have no idea. The originals are gone, worn away. These are the ones that are the 1st forward of the very rear bushings. They don't look like the ones annaleigh posted above, just going by what I can see of the sockets they fit into. The ones at the rear behind these probably do look like the ones he posted judging from what they look like under the body. But those are not worn away on mine, just the ones forward from those. I took a simple round donut rubber mount similar to what he posted and jacked the body up as far as possible, using a small bottle jack under the back of the body above the trailer hitch, I then cut the mount so that I could fit it around the center bolt of the worn mount without having to go through trying to remover that bolt. That entails pulling the carpet up to find the top of the bolt and removing the rear seat/bed to access it. Worked like a charm, no more noise.
But I'm not sure what positions they go in. The product descriptions state the positions, but I'm not sure how they correspond to the positions on the frame.
Does anyone have a frame diagram for our vans that show bushing placements?
Dorman 924-056: position 2,3,4,6
Dorman 924-057: position 5
Dorman 924-055: position 1

I got everything out of my van. I'm gonna lift the carpet soon to hopefully find a hatch for the 33 gallon fuel filter they installed for the original conversion.
None of those match the ones that are wornout on mine. The sockets they fit into are oval shaped, not round. (if I recall, been a long workweek), Wait, ran the wrong numbers, the 924-055 I think would fit the ones I have worn. But like I said, it's not worth the effort to get the old center bolt out on mine to install new bushings. Slipping the old Bronco bushings in place fixed mine with minimal effort.
