Hey guys, I’m looking at F350 DRW Lariat CC. Can y’all tell me if heated and cooled seats are an option on the front bench seat? The bench is a requirement for me with 4 kids. Also, is the exhaust brake standard on certain years?
Neighbors 2011 with bend front seat has heated/cooled seats. Playing around with build your own truck online it wouldn’t let yo do heated rear seats with front bench, why I don’t know....
I doubt he's asking about a true bench seat, as i don't even think they offered one in the 11 up trucks. More likely the 40/20/40 seat. If that's the case, then yes, you can have heated and cooled front seats with the 40/20/40 seat. Needs to be Lariat or higher trim. And you can have heated rear seats with the 40/20/40 front. My 13 lariat has both, but was a custom order. I'd have to say finding a used crewcab with a front 40/20/40 heated and cooled and heated rear seats is probably going to be like looking for a needle in haystack.
This stands for 11-16. I've got nothing on the 17 up.
I'm pretty sure the heated/cooled front seats came with any Lariat and above truck regardless of Bench or Captains seats. XL and XLTs I don't know what they included.
2011-2014 have the exhaust brake, But no button. It's basically deployed when you push the Tow/Haul. 2015 and newer you will have the EB button and a larger turbo that gives you a stronger EB.
My 2016 F350 SRW lariat has the 40/20/40 because of 4 kids and the front is heated and cooled. The exhaust brake has the button. I never hear of an option for the back seat or at least I don't remember it being an option.
I'm pretty sure the heated/cooled front seats came with any Lariat and above truck regardless of Bench or Captains seats.
Actually they didn't. They were optional on the Lariat, standard on King Ranch and Platinum.
They had to be ordered with the "Lariat Interior Package" or the "Lariat Ultimate Package", as the standard Lariat did not come with heated/cooled front seats and there wasn't a separate order code for just the heated/cooled seats option.
As an example, the "Lariat Interior Package" is order code 96L, and it includes:
- Easy Entry/Exit Memory Driver's Seat
- Memory Power-Adjustable Pedals
- Memory Power Heated/Cooled Driver's Seat
- Memory PowerScope Trailer Tow Mirrors
- Power Heated/Cooled Passenger Seat
- Remote Start System
Or go with the "Lariat Ultimate Package" if you wanted more options than that.
Then you throw in the split 40/20/40 bench option and have to order it with the 96L or 96U packages to get the heated/cooled fronts, and you can see how this gets to be a rare truck in a hurry.
More and more of us 7.3 owners are moving to the 6.7.Unfortunately I have to wait about a year before I can join the club. Good luck with what truck you get Robert6401.
Fine is subjective. It gently cools a maximum ~12° below the cabin air temp at the outlet of the vent. If it used the HVAC system to cool, it would blow quicker and as cold as the AC coming out of the vents.
Check your seat filter ,maybe it's plugged up. My cooled seats will freeze my ***** when I'm wearing shorts in the summer on high. The heating and cooling on command start is my only complaint with the system. My 2011 f-150 seemed like it used to work way better with command start.
