Disable bulb out warning “hyper flash”

So I came across in a thread about the dealer being able to turn off the bulb out warning so they could use leds without having to use resistors on their brakes and turn signals. Has anyone else had any experience with this? How did y’all go about asking the dealer?
I can’t seem to find anymore info on this.

When I asked for more info I was given the top pic. I included an updated one as well. If the dealer doesn’t know what I mean do I assume showing this to them will clarify things?

If I recall correctly, I think all I did was change line 70 on the FORscan spreadsheet.

I mentioned this in the other thread. Was going to ask Mike if he's tried it yet.
Just wondering in case I decide to go to LED for front signals and all the remaining rear lights that I haven't done yet.

I plan on swinging by my local dealership to ask about this. If they can, then I’m going full led all around. I had I show them pics on how to enable the dpf screen for them to activate it so that’s why I need more info about whether or not all I need is this pic.

I seen you mention it poncho. I asked about it in the forscan thread but never got an answer to it. I also don’t have access to forscan so I sorta depend on the dealership for things like that.

I can tell you, when replacing incandescent with LEDs, the LEDs will flash normally, no resistor needed. The hyper-flash is only on the dash.

I initially added resistors when I did the front LEDs, which resulted in normal flash rate on the dash. When I replaced the rear LEDs, I did not add resistors, had the hyper-flash, and then made the change in FORscan.

That’s what I’m trying to avoid is adding resistors all together. I was under the impression that I wouldn’t get any hyper flash on the outside or inside with disabling the bulb out warning. Guess if my dealer can’t do it, I’ll have to find someone in the Houston area that can help me out with forscan. Either way, guess I’ll be needing to order some led replacements tonight. If you don’t mind me asking, whom did you purchase your leds from? I really wanna try those switchbacks up front but only know of HR for leds. The change you made in forscan, was that number 70?

found this today....tempted to try it out. The guy explains forscan pretty well. If he’s disabled the hyper flash I’m curious why his rear turn signals need such huge relays or whatever those big boxes are.

After trying three different kinds of switchback LEDs, I figured out the problem in my case, was always the LED's base, not the socket.

To save retyping the details, look here:

All Led's no resistors. every outside light is led. Front turn signals turn yellow to Blink ( Morimoto 7443 Switchback XB White/Amber LED)
Dealer turned off the Bulb out in the service lane in 5 min and Off iI went.

Bulb

I found these worked best for the rear brake lights very bright because of the way the chips are mounted on the angled plate.

I had this done at a dealership after showing them the bulletin. Took only a few minutes. So far I've replaced the front turn signals and everything flashes normal inside and out without resistors.
