Used a dewalt cutter and sawsall to trim it up Finally done. Wired to my reverse lights and a toggle switch took about 4 hours Because this happened.. damn drill bits She was hard to get under control... Peroxide and whiskey. But now at least I can see behind me in the dark.. (no not like that... gross) I officially have blood and sweat invested in her
The finger was more of an inconvenience than a pain..they are decently bright.. for $10 off the eBay I can’t complain they look good and work good so this is another successful endeavor in my book of my 7.3 mods/upgrades. The measurements are pretty simple. This is the only place I found behind the bumper where brackets weren’t in the way.. I can get the measurements tomorrow if you want but it’s pretty easy
This is the driver side of my bumper Holding the tape tongue flat When measuring leave some extra meat so you don’t cut too big of a hole Measure off hitch receiver to top corner of your sharpie lines on each side to make sure it’s close to the same It comes close but this is what it looks like I tried to explain it as simple as I could but people have their different ways of measuring stuff.. when I gat time I can take the light off and take actual photos of the tape against the cut areas.. also use a 10 foot tape it’s way easier to bend
This is my next project. I can't see crap with the stock reverse lights. I'm scared to death of cutting into my bumper, but going for it anyways.
Ha ha me to I had the grinder in my hands closed my eyes an let er rip.. I almost hit a tree before I got them.. to answer a previous question the reverse bulb has two wires. Brown or black and black with a red stripe the striped is the hot. I ground the lights to the license plate lights and power to reverse ligjts
