Thanks guys! I think the black works too! It seems to let the grille stand out for itself, I think chrome would create too much shiny confusion at the nose...
Ok guys still thinking about how we can make these more available to the community.
I made a tracing before putting it on the truck, of the sides of the guard - that's the complex part of the guard, the rest is just 2.5" tubing and two tabs.
I'm not good with CAD / blueprints, but could someone scan the tracing and add like a set of 1" grid lines... if we had an accurate, actual sized tracing available for download at Garagemahal, anyone could have the tracing.
Gary could you CAD a tracing that's about 3 feet by one foot for the side of the guard?
I don't think Gary makes it over here much now that he has his own site ???Gary's Garagemahal - Bullnose Forum
May want to ask him over there.

I have an existing brush guard, and needed the bottom section to attach to my Flareside frame.
Once SCFlareside posted photos of his original "new find" I realized what I have is for a Ranger or other narrow-framed truck. Mine would have to be cut in half and have the tubes extended to reach the frame rails. More work, and my welds are still in the "learning" stage".
So now I need to start at square one. Here's the template for my plasma cutter to make the main-frame side rails of the brushguard. Thanks to SCFlareside for providing the tracing.

i see you rounded the curves on the bottom a bit - looks great! Let me know if you need any other measurements
