2WD bed height

Hi folks,

Considering ordering a F250, 6.2, 4.30 longbox.

Have a 5th wheel trailer and am worried about the height of the beds on these SuperDuties. Don't want to end up with the trailer being nose high, so I'm considering a 2WD truck.

My '01 F350 4X2 was considerably lower than it's 4X4 brother, so wondering if that still holds true with the new trucks.
The dealer I made an inquiry to told me that both set ups would have the same bed height. "OK" I thought, "he's the dealer"

Just have a hard time believing it's the case.

Please confirm or deny....

Cheers,
Mike

The height difference at the bed isn’t much. You can check the specs on the Ford site. I worried about the same thing, because we bought the truck before receiving our trailer. A lot depends on how old your trailer (fiver?) is. Newer fivers tend to be built higher, so less of an issue. Older fivers can be an issue with the newer trucks. My truck is a 2WD.

My 5th wheel is an '18, and I'm about 1.5" nose high with my '14 Ram 3500, which isn't too bad, but am hoping to get everything level.

The 2017 SuperDuty sales brochure indicates an ~3” height difference between 4x2 and 4x4 load floors.

We have a 2WD F350... feel free to request specific measurements or photos.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for that.
I checked the '18 brochure but couldn't find any info like that, so I'm assuming there haven't been any changes btw '17 & '18?

No significant dimensional changes of which I’m aware. Yeah, that data is missing from the 2018 brochure.
