Drivetrain noise
I've been hearing a noise that sounds kind of like a U joint. There is no vibration, just a rather high pitch noise. If I adjust the throttle to a neutral position, so it's no pressure on the drive train, it goes away. Under acceleration, cruising, and de-acceleration, I can hear it. If I put the trans in neutral when coming to a stop, I can still hear it.
Could this be the center hanger bearing assembly? Are there any simple "tests" to perform for a diagnosis?

And if your doing the U joints you might as well do the center bearing at the same time. Do it once and forget it.
