As promised, here are a few photos of the new Outlaw full replacement bumper and new shoes...Cooper Discoverers. It rides a TON better with those 285s off of there. The Bilsteins will go on tomorrow.
I discovered Cooper tires several years ago and have slowly transitioned all of our vehicles to them. They are great tires for great prices in my opinion.
The bumper/grille looks good. Too large for my taste, but I can appreciate the craftsmanship and work put into it.
I need to find someone to design a seat or something that will mount to the top of the grille. Almost like a topside creeper, but it will be a topside seater or something...
Yeah fellas, I didn't realize they were such a good tire. Toyos we're pricey and a LOT of recent reviews saying they changed the rubber compound and they are not wearing as well. The guy at Discount sold me on these. Great price and he said I should 50-60 out of them.
Sous, I hear ya on the size. That's actually what I like about it. LOL...We all like different stuff. Looking forward to seeing your transformation! With your short bed, I am guessing the grille guard will look better than a full replacement would.
I'll also be doing the headlights as part of the facelift today. I just bought stock replacements, but the 2003 versions with new Ultra bulbs. Should be a nice improvement. Stay tuned!
Holy cow that bumper's huge! It has a catwalk!
If I had that I'd be in jail, there's too many folks I'd go full Petty on while driving down the highway...
It's a company called Outlaw. It's what most of the oil field guys use and it's half the price of a Ranch Hand, but made with all the same steel.

It does line up, but each side has a little wing thingy that sticks out. I noticed it too, but it's the way it is. I have looked at many and they all seem to do this.

LOL!! I got it more for deer/cattle damage aversion, but yes, that is also a good use for it!

Haha! Nah, he is right, the ends stick out out a tiny bit. It doesn't bother me. All of the brands I looked at do the same thing.
Looks good Byron, what does it weigh? I've been running Cooper's A/TW on my truck, I've been very impressed with them. How's that new pup, what's her name again...Princess? LOL, Is she spoiled yet?

Thanks John. I am going to WAG and go from the amount of work it took to move that thing around and lift onto the frame....prolly 180-200? if you saw the contraption I had setup to get this thing on the truck, you woulda laughed me out off the forum.
We ended up going with a male on the pup, but may still go back and get the small female so they can grow up together. No spoiling here!! I've raised to many to put up with much, but my daughter may change all of that LOL! My wife named him Zeke. He was the biggest in the litter, but she didn't want something like Brutus or similar, so Zeke just rolled off the tongue and stuck.
Those Coopers look good on you truck! Are they factory size or 285s?
Gotta say I really like that Bumper. I spend many nights driving back roads in Ga and we have a lot a deer. That would save the radiator and a long walk.
The web sites I looked at say that one weighs 220 lbs

Zeke is a good attention getting name. Thanks, I run factory size tire, I wanted to keep everything suspension related stock for towing. . It's funny how heavy 200# gets when it's an odd size/shape. s
