EBPV questions
So now that I'm ready to get things back together in my truck, I'm wanting to get the turbo and everything else back in after work today. I have a bypassed exhaust fitting where thd butterfly flap used to be, with freeze plug in it and it's been ceramic coated, along with a ceramic coated 1.0 housing. I would like to remove the EBPV piece from the pedestal but not sure if it's as easy as I just pull the snap ring off and then pull the stuff out, put that brass colored cap back in with the snap ring, and then plug that tiny hole on the other side. Are there oil passages that I will have issues with if I just gut it and plug it? Ive read that quite a few people have done just that. Worst case scenario I will just leave it with the rod sticking out and it's not hooked up to anything. That's how it was in my truck when I started pulling everything a few weeks ago.

Are you can cut and weld it.
It makes pulling and installing the turbo a lot easier
