I finally got a VRV but had to buy the whole pump to get it. I figured since my truck needs a pump anyway, why not try this one first. Its there any thing I can look for without swapping pumps to figure the running condition of this pump?

I don't think there is any way to tell if an IP is good just by looking at it, unless it has obvious damage, leaks or it is very gunked up..only way to tell if it's good is to stick it on your engine or send it out to a shop to have it rebuilt..
