Love it when a plan comes together. Pulled the pump out tonight. Just as I thought, impeller is cracked and spinning on the shaft. I have no idea how this happened. I'm going to pull the lower hose to make sure that there's nothing in to make it jamb and crack. It's not the stock pump so who knows what brand it is. I'll bet it's from the same parts house that the glow plugs came from. They said made in Ireland on them.
If you look real carefully you can see the crack on the left.
Hard to tell from the pic, but looks like the crack is on the other side too. Is that normal for that much wear on the vanes?, or is it from the Impeller being able to move back and forth on the shaft once the crack started... Almost looks like it seized in there...
It isn't that bad as scuffing goes. I've never seen G05 be green in pictures. You look at it in the daylight it's yellowish. I got to go down to XDP and pick up the pump and start re assembly.
