Heater Hoses

I have an 02 F150 with the 5.4. I keep getting a miss on #4. Recently I noticed that the heater hose (one on passenger side) was leaking. I initially replaced the o-rings in the quick connect. It still leaked. Yesterday I replaced the quick connect. It still leaked. Can I just remove the quick connects and attach the hose directly to the heater core using hose clamps? Or would I be better off replacing the entire heater hose assembly?

Either way, you can cut off the quick connect part and use clamps or replace the whole thing.

Thank you. From experience so far, I have more faith in the hose clamp than I do in the quick connect.
