Heater Hoses

I blew a heater hose yesterday on my 99 F-150,Was looking at replacing them today, But am not familiar with the connection at the Heater Core, How does it work? any tips

Well for a quick get you going fix. you can cut the bad hose. Remove the other hose and then use a nipple and worm gear clamps to put the two together. It bypasses the heater but can get you back on the rode again.

Yep,kinda did that out on the highway,had enough hose left after trimming off the blown up part, was able to reconnect the end with the hose clamp to the tubeing coming out of the engine

It looks to me as though a special tool is required to disconnect the Hoses at the heater core
