ARe you replacing the stock Halogen bulbs with brighter LED bulbs. Or are you replacing LED bulbs ( on trucks with the LEDs) with a brighter LED back up light?
I have the LED light package from Ford on my Platinum. But I would love brighter back up lights. I hook up a lot of trailers. Often early before the sun comes up.

Check out these brackets if you're looking for some serious lights. Could be wired to reverse lights or upfitter switches.
I know this is a bit of an anti HR thread...but my experience with their reverse lights has been amazing. It’s a 10 minute job to upgrade to them. Here’s a video I made talking about them and showing how bright they are.
I don't understand why they must charge $90 (HR), and why do their lamps have heat sinks on them while the others don't? If my back up lights will be on for a long time, then a heat sink might help, but then I'll go to an external light system for cheaper than $90.
I can see why the heat sink is on them. The brightness is amazing. They are close to the brightness of some headlights. Either way the little tail, connection for the HR solution is no big deal and the brightness is supposed to be better than anything else in the market.
True, but I would be concerned with the lens assembly melting if they get that hot, lol. I'll stick with my simple fix for $20, I'm only backing up, not going through the woods backwards.

Not knocking those that went with HR. Heck, I even did myself for backup lights. They've got some great videos out, but why wouldn't they? They're out to sell as many lights as they can. And apparently they are, having back order issues.
But knowing what I do now since I bought and installed different brand LED headlights and license plate lights I would not have gone the HR route. I feel that I've gotten a comparable result (at least enough to make me plenty happy) for far less money.
Looking to either flush mount LEDs in rear bumper or mount underneath. Any recommendations?
Pretty much any inexpensive unit found on Amazon or elsewhere will work fine for the purposes of backing up. There are existing torx head bolts under the bumper that work great for hanging brackets vs. putting a hole in the bumper for flush mounts.
