Replacing front shocks

So my mechanic wants to charge me for a front end wheel alignment after replacing the front shocks. I just had a 4-wheel alignment done 2 months ago when I had ball joints and tie rods replaced. Never once did he say that when he replaces the shocks he would have to do it again. Why would I need another alignment? Sounds to me like he's just trying to make more coin. Is this really needed?

nope.... if it was in alignment beforehand new shocks will change nothing regarding alignment. ball joints, tie rod ends, springs or spring spacers (for lift) can affect alignment.
