Low oil pressure idiot light

Ok, where is the "oil can" low oil pressure light at on our dashes? Maybe I'm just missing it but I don't see it when I first turn my truck on. Maybe burnt out or what?

No “oil can” at key on. Only set by ECU.

Yes. It's in the same area as the wrench. Does it come on momentarily when you start to crank the engine?

Well,........I have yet to see the "wrench", thankfully haha , but haven't noticed if it comes on momentarily when first cranked. Will have to see next time I start it.............Should it?

No, It doesn't on mine.

When I reprogram the truck with the tuner, the center area of the dash (wrench area) cycles through all the various symbols as it is writing the tune.

The oil can light comes on every time I start my truck. Stays on for a second or 2, then goes out.

That seems logical to me since the PLC (ECM) is fully operational, but oil pressure hasn't built up yet.

Well, I have the style of information center that just has one reset button and after starting a couple times today that "oil can" doesn't light up at any time.

I read somewhere the light comes on only if the oil drops below 5psi AND, the sender in no way shape or form feeds the computer.

My oil can or wrench light does not come on when the key switch is turned on and engine not running (KOnEOf), but all the other lights do. When I crank the engine all the lights go out except for the battery light, then once the engine starts the battery light turns off. Just curious why the oil can doesn't come on with the KOnEOf. Does the PLC need to know (or care) if the engine is running or not before it throws an oil can?

I have seen the oil can symbol for a split second when I first start the truck right after an oil/filter change, other then that it never comes on.
