I don't know if the fuel tank selector valve is working. I haven't used it in forever. My boyfriend accidentally put gas in the front tank and then poked a hole in the tank to get it out. I've ran off the rear tank ever since. I just checked, it does switch tanks. How do I check to make sure it's working properly?
I was not aware of a water separator before the lift pump. I don't see anything unless it's under the truck before the firewall(?) Or right at the tank.
I would have siphoned the gasoline out of the tank. Supposedley the guys in the Alternative Fuels section of our site run gasoline and WMO in IDIs all the time. I've been too chicken to try it because I'm afraid it might kill my IP.
