Hello there! Please help I have a 2000 ford f150 pickup 5.4/4.6 engine..and heater is not working. has a new heater coil and new thermostat. blenddoor seems to be working. heater control valve is missing. I want to know where exactly does it go.. left, or right hose ? Other thing is that I don't see no vacuum line's loose around the engine the one supposed to be attached to the heater control valve. The heater is not working not even the defrost.if anyone can help. Please
the "control valve" you are talking about is probably the optional on- off valve located at the end of one heater hose. You don't need that. You can have water flowing thru the heater all the time... you control the TEMP of the air by routing the air THRU the heater core or AROUND the heater core with the blend door.
problems can be the blend door, or no circulation of water. You said you have a new heater core and a new thermostat. I assume the dash gauge says the engine temp is in "mid range" ? .... The blend door is a MAJOR concern. Why do you think it is working ?
Feel the heater hoses into and out of the core. Are they HOT ? If so, the water is circulating . Temp is controlled by the blend door.... you may need to look into that area.
Hello my friend well water is running thru .I can feel a little bit of heat on feet at passangerside but not anywhere else. but it's just not throwing heat and fan is blowing all speeds.I ordered the actuator waiting on it. we'll see wut happens.
That is NOT a definitive test. All it means is SOME liquid is circulating. If does not mean that coolant is circulating properly or is fully up to the temperature needed for adequate heating. [emphasis added...]
Without doing the recommended checks and tests, you're still just guessing (probably wrongly....again).
