heater control valve

i was wondering if anyone can help me locate my heater control valve its on a 2003 ranger

Look under the hood near the a/c accumulator. It will be black plastic with vacuum line attached and two heater hoses connected. The purpose is to shut off the water flow to the heater core when the a/c is turned on.

If you're having heat issues, check the hoses in and out of the heater core. If they're both hot, your problem is likely the dreaded blend door. There are a number of fixes which range from cutting the heater box to gain access to the door, or removing the dashboard to get to the heater box. Do all your investigative work upfront. Google is a good friend on this issue.
